How to make a rap lyric video with your own audio.
Have a track and want the words on screen? Barz Studio adds timed lyric captions and beat-reactive visuals to audio you already have. This walkthrough takes you from an MP3 or WAV to a downloadable vertical video using the free browser editor.
The output is 720 × 1280. You do not need an account, and your audio stays on your device. Barz does not generate a song or AI footage. MP4 export is currently unavailable.
Bring your track and final lyrics.
Use an MP3 or WAV no longer than two minutes for the Free editor. Prepare lyrics you own or have permission to use, with one caption on each line and no more than 1,200 characters in total. Finish editing the wording before you set the timing: changing the lyric text clears its time marks.
Use a browser that supports the editor’s preview and recording. If the editor reports that export is unsupported, try a current Chrome or Edge browser. Read the content and acceptable-use terms before making a video.
Audio to lyric video in five steps.
- 01Choose your audio file.
Open the Barz editor and click “Choose an audio file.” Select your MP3 or WAV and wait for it to load. Check the displayed track duration. If it exceeds the Free limit, use a shorter version of your audio.
- 02Add one lyric line per row.
Paste your words into “Your Lyrics.” Each non-empty row becomes a caption. Split long phrases into readable lines, remove anything you do not want shown, and finish your edits before marking times.
- 03Mark when every line begins.
Click “Preview track” to play the audio. As a line starts, click “Mark” beside that lyric. Mark every line. To refine a time, move the “Track Position” slider to the desired point and click that line’s Mark button again. Play the track from the beginning to check the captions.
- 04Choose a visual mood.
Try Ultraviolet, After Hours or Acid Test in “Pick a Visual Mood.” The Free format is 9:16 vertical. Preview how the captions and visuals look with your audio before recording.
- 05Export and download the WebM.
Click “Export WebM.” Recording takes roughly the track’s length; keep this tab visible until it finishes. Then click “Video ready — download WebM” and save the file. Use “Cancel export” if you need to stop and edit. Download before refreshing or closing the page.
Check these if your first take is off.
Why do the captions change every 3.2 seconds?
At least one non-empty lyric line has no time mark. Until every line is marked, the editor uses a 3.2-second rotation. Finish marking all lines, then preview the track again.
Can I correct one late or early caption?
Yes. Move Track Position to the point where that line should start, then click its Mark button again. This replaces that line’s time. If you edit the lyric text, the timing is cleared and all lines need to be marked again.
Why is Mark unavailable?
Select an audio file and wait for it to finish loading. Timing controls need a playable track. They are also locked while an export is recording.
What happens if I switch tabs during export?
The export stops and asks you to retry. Keep the recording tab visible until it finishes. A cancelled or failed recording does not provide a successful download link.
After you change lyrics, theme or timing, the previous download link is removed. Export again to get the current version. If your next editing app cannot open WebM, check its supported formats before using the file; Barz does not currently convert to MP4.
Keep the original audio file.
Lyrics, theme and time marks save automatically in this browser. After a refresh, reselect the same audio file to resume. Choosing a different file resets timing. The audio itself and exported videos are not saved in the draft, so keep your original track and download your finished video.
“Clear draft” removes the saved work from this device. If the editor reports that it cannot save a draft, keep the page open and copy your lyrics or finish the export before leaving.
